The Israeli occupation announced this evening the death of four Israeli hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, after they were kidnapped in the October 7 attack. According to a statement issued by the Families Forum, the hostages are Haim Perry (79 years old) and Nadav Popplewell (51 years old). Yoram Metzger (80 years old), and Amiram Cooper (85 years old).
In a statement issued by the Families Forum, it was stated that the hostages who were killed while in Hamas captivity were:
The kidnapped Nadav Popplewell, who was killed in Hamas captivity in Gaza, is the son of Hanna Berry, who returned from captivity, and the brother of Roi, who was killed on October 7. Last month, Hamas published a video of him appearing with kidnapped men Keith Seagal and Omri Miran.
As for Amiram Cooper, one of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz. He was married to Nurit, and they lived in the kibbutz for 70 years, and were among its founders. Amiram wrote songs, and sometimes he wrote about politics as well. Contact with him was lost on the morning of Saturday, October 7.
Haim Peri, a Nir Oz resident who celebrated his 80th birthday in captivity, was a peace activist who transported Gazans to and from Israel for medical treatment, and an artist who created an art gallery and winery in the middle of the desert.
80-year-old Yoram Metzger remained in captivity after his 78-year-old wife, Tamar, was released in the fifth batch. Metzger's granddaughter, Omer, survived the bloody attack in Nir Oz.
