Hamas said on Tuesday that it had submitted its response to the latest Gaza ceasefire proposal to the mediators.

Hamas representative Osama Hamdan told the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV channel: “We presented some comments on the proposal to the mediators.”

Osama Hamdan added: “Our response is a clear confirmation of our commitment to the ceasefire and withdrawal from Gaza, a commitment we adhere to constantly.”

Meanwhile, a Qatari official told CNN on Tuesday that Hamas had submitted its response to the mediators to the latest ceasefire proposal in Gaza. The official added that there is a need for further discussions.

The Qatari Prime Minister met with the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement.

Qatar is expected to issue a statement soon.
