The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on its citizens to adhere to the decision to ban travel to Lebanon, amid the escalation of tension between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah across the border.
The Saudi embassy in Beirut said in a statement, on Saturday, that it is “closely following the developments of the current events in southern Lebanon, and confirms its previous call to all Saudi citizens to adhere to the decision to ban travel to Lebanon.”
The embassy statement urged Saudi citizens in Lebanon to leave “immediately.”
Arab countries, including Kuwait and Jordan, warned their citizens against traveling to Lebanon, amid fears of the expansion of the scope of the conflict, in light of the escalation of the exchange of fire between Israel and Hezbollah.
A few days ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in statements to Channel 14 that the army’s focus could shift to Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, after “the intense phase of the war with Hamas (in Gaza),” which he said was “ "Almost finished."
