Global airports, banks and global media outlets are currently experiencing major IT system outages.
With regard to airports, flights were halted at Sydney Airport, Australia, and a state of uncertainty and chaos prevailed among travelers.
United Airlines has stopped flying, and Berlin Airport posted on the X platform that it was “experiencing delays in check-in due to a technical error.” In Spain, a “malfunction” was reported at all of the country’s airports.
The company operating the Spanish airport says: “We are working to solve the problem as quickly as possible. At the same time, operations continue with manual systems.”
There was an interruption in services at Edinburgh Airport in the United Kingdom, "where an error caused the departure screens to malfunction."
The departure boards in the main airport building appeared to have stopped working, displaying outdated information about gate numbers and departure times, meaning some passengers missed their flights.
The European airline Rayon Air said that it is facing “potential network outages,” attributing the reason to “power outages from a third party.”
The airline advised anyone traveling today to check the company's app for updates on their flight.
Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport reported a delay caused by an "information technology outage."
A company spokesman said: “The outage is having an impact on flights,” adding that it is not yet clear how many flights are affected.
As for trains and railways, a major train company warned passengers to expect service interruptions as it suffers from “extensive internet problems.”
British Rail also posted on social media: “We are currently experiencing widespread IT issues across our entire network.”
The disruption also affected some media stations, as Sky News - based in the United Kingdom - stopped broadcasting due to the interruption of service.
The company's CEO said that the channel was unable to broadcast live this morning. The Australian telecommunications company says it is also facing “disruption.”

Microsoft said it was taking “mitigating measures” after the service issues, Agence France-Presse reported.
The company indicated that the service outage began late Thursday night.
