Ali Al -Kathiri, the Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, President of the National Assembly, congratulated today, Sunday, during his reception of Mujahid bin Afar, Deputy Minister of Water and Environment, in his office in the capital, Aden, on his obtaining the confidence of the political leadership.

He expressed his wishes for success in performing his duties, stressing that the current stage requires redoubling efforts and working with the team’s spirit to meet the challenges the country is going through.

Al -Kathiri pointed out the need to enhance coordination between the ministry and its various sectors, and international organizations to take optimal benefit from grants and projects in the fields of water and the environment, and to address accumulated environmental problems.

Bin Afar, the Ministry’s structure and the nature of its duties, reviewed the challenges it faces under the current circumstances, expressing his appreciation for the leadership of the Council to continue its continuous support, appreciating its constant keenness to enhance the efforts to protect the environment and improve the performance of the environmental sector to serve the citizen’s interest and the sustainable development path.
