The Minister of State, Governor of the Capital, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, chaired today, Sunday, the meeting of the main committee to prepare the economic and social development plan 2025-2027.

The meeting, which included the Chamber of Commerce, the University of Aden, community committees, the Women’s Development Department, and civil society organizations, discussed the initial plan and distribution of tasks for preparing the strategic plan by the committee.

The meeting set a period of two months to prepare the plan, in cooperation with the technical committee that will be formed from the executive offices, to launch it and invite donors and the private sector.

The meeting concluded by agreeing on a timetable that includes coordination and continuous communication with the various concerned parties, taking into account the outputs of the University of Aden and the various relevant sectors. The meeting was attended by Badr Assistant, Secretary-General of the Local Council, and Intisar Murshed, Director-General of the Planning Office.
