With a pale face and an exhausted body, the fighter Abdul Karim Abdullah Musaini, a resident of the city of Al-Houta, stands as an example of steadfastness and determination. Despite the disease that was ravaging his body, and the poverty that surrounded him on all sides, Al-Musaina’i insisted on participating in the celebrations of the October 14 Revolution, that revolution that was the source of his struggle and his hope for a better future for his country.
Al-Musaini, who suffers from harsh health and financial conditions, never abandoned his patriotic principles for the south, nor did pain or poverty prevent him from being present in the arenas celebrating the revolution for which he sacrificed. This great spirit embodies his sincerity and dedication to his country, and sends a strong message that patriotism does not know the impossible.
Today we send a call to our wise leadership in the Transitional Council to consider the condition of such fighters, who spent the years of their lives serving this country and asked in return for nothing but dignity and care. Abdul Karim Musaini, and other freedom fighters who suffer life silently, need a generous gesture from our leadership, to secure their health and material needs, and to return the favor to them when they are in dire need of support and attention.
Honoring these heroes, and acknowledging their sacrifices while they were alive, is the least duty that can be given to them in exchange for the efforts and sacrifices they made for the nation that deserve all appreciation and respect.
