“The International Union of Yemeni Migrants in the Diaspora (under establishment) witnessed a coup attempt that failed, carried out by the Executive President, Abdel Salam Al-Soudi, who was elected by the founding committee. He submitted a statute to the competent authorities in Paris, which he dismissed at his whim in order to obtain a permit for the union, and he violated the statute, as he submitted Papers indicate that he is the president of the federation for life, and that he is also exempt from fees, and he brought in elements that were not in the federation at all. Before this, the committee had rejected this matter, and that he must present a system agreed upon by all members of the committee, and everyone agreed on this opinion, but Al-Soudi argued that He was forced to travel to Egypt, and upon his return, he presented the basic system that he would submit to the competent authorities, but he presented a system that was not agreed upon and forged a system that did not represent it to the founding committee, which prompted the founding committee and the administrative body to reject all his actions and charged the board of trustees with preserving the union and its idea, since the president of the council is the owner The idea and the first founder was Brother Ali Al-Sabahi.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the administrative body that included the founders met and a consensus was reached to dismiss Abdul Salam Al-Soudi, who strove hard to direct the union first to himself and then to a specific party, and this is contrary to the spirit and goals of the union on which it was founded.
This attempt aimed to destabilize the Union and disrupt its humanitarian work to serve Yemeni immigrants abroad.
Informed sources within the union confirmed that the coup group aimed to control the reins of power and change the course of the union to be in line with narrow partisan agendas, far from the noble goals for which it was founded.
The leadership of the administrative body and the Board of Trustees, with everyone's vigilance, was able to thwart this cheap attempt and take the necessary measures to protect the union and its members.
In a special statement, one of the leaders of the Union, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed that this incident will not deter them from continuing their efforts in serving Yemeni immigrants in the world and working to unite the ranks of Yemenis abroad.
He added that the Union will remain a lofty edifice. It represents the voice of the Yemeni immigrant and works to convey his voice and messages to the whole world.
