In a worrying development that threatens the health of the population, dozens of cases of poisoning continue among the people of the Al-Aidaroos neighborhood and the Al-Aidaroos people, in the Sira District, as a result of fresh water being contaminated with sewage after the heavy rains that fell last week.
Many of the injured went to Al-Sadaqa Hospital to receive treatment, in light of the increasing cases of infection as a result of this contamination.
Despite repeated calls from residents to local authorities for the need to intervene urgently and implement fog spraying campaigns to combat pollution and remove waste left by the rains, these demands are ignored.
Residents of the region expressed their fear of a greater health catastrophe if action is not taken quickly to address the causes and provide adequate health protection for them, warning that the situation will worsen if the slow response continues.
