The traffic police monitored the occurrence of 319 people who were victims of traffic accidents during the month of last October, including 62 people who died on the side of the road under the wheels of vehicles and among the bodies of machines mixed with the remains of others. All of them died immediately or in the corridors of hospitals, while 257 suffered various injuries described. 115 of them were seriously injured, and the majority suffered from complications. The rest are at the mercy of permanent disability and permanent disabilities that restrict their freedom of natural movement, paralyze their ability to exercise their social function, and incapable of performing their role and responsibility to become a burden on their family and loved ones. The injuries of the remaining 152 were distributed between minor and moderate.

 According to the traffic statistics prepared by the security media based on the daily reports of the traffic police, the lines and roads of the governorates and liberated areas witnessed during the month of last October the occurrence of 357 different traffic accidents distributed among 228 vehicle collision incidents, 86 pedestrian run-over incidents, 29 vehicle rollover incidents, and 9 vehicle collision incidents. Accidents of falling from vehicles, 3 incidents of vehicles colliding with a fixed object, and 3 vehicle fire incidents. 

According to statistics, the material losses resulting from damage to vehicles alone amounted to 89 million riyals, while other losses related to and related to human and social losses exceed many times over, especially therapeutic, pharmaceutical, health, psychological and social care, losses in alternative opportunities, wasted time, and performance inability.

The statistics and reports of the traffic police departments in the governorates attributed the causes and factors of the aforementioned traffic accidents to the responsibility of the human element at a rate exceeding 93%, while the 7% percentage of these accidents is distributed among other elements such as the road, its nature, and environmental factors associated with it, the vehicle and its suitability, and technical faults, which The human element is often behind it as well.

Noting that violating traffic rules and laws, traffic ethics, ignoring and neglecting safety and security conditions and means always leads to the occurrence of horrific accidents, and human and social damages and losses multiply when there are multiple causes and transgressions. At the forefront of these transgressions is failure to adhere to the speed limit, catastrophic recklessness when driving, and wrong and dangerous transgressions. Preoccupation with other than the road, neglecting maintenance and losing the technical suitability of the vehicle, neglecting traffic signals and instructions, driving by young people and those with no experience, poor appreciation of the dangers of ignorance and disregard for traffic rules and laws, poor judgment and dealing with the nature of the road and the technical suitability of the vehicle and the load, and motorcycles and their poor driving and pedestrians and their neglect have roles in The occurrence of these accidents.
