The Narcotics Control Department in Al-Mahra Governorate referred six defendants accused of crimes of trafficking, promoting and bringing drugs to the Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Hadhramaut Governorate after the procedures for the evidence-gathering stage were completed.
Deputy Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department in Al-Mahra Governorate, Muhammad Saad Makhbal, said that five of the defendants are of Yemeni nationality, in addition to a sixth defendant of Somali nationality.
Makhbal explained, “The administration, together with all the security services in Mahra and with the cooperation of citizens, are on their way to combat the smuggling of these toxic materials and combat smuggling in all its forms.”
The Deputy Director of Narcotics Control in Mahra confirmed that “the security services will not hesitate to carry out their duty in fighting this deadly scourge until it is eradicated.”
