Saudi Arabia hands over to the Houthis the bodies of prominent field leaders

Local media revealed that Saudi Arabia handed over to the Houthi militia the bodies of a number of its members who were killed in confrontations with government forces and Arab coalition forces.
The sources explained that among the bodies were prominent field leaders, including Fares Hamoud Al-Ezzi, the brother of the leader of the Houthi group, Hussein Al-Ezzi, who was impersonating the deputy foreign minister in the government of Sana’a, which is not internationally recognized.
According to Al-Mawsat, Houthi members were killed in confrontations with government forces on several fronts inside Yemen, in addition to clashes on the border fronts between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
There was no information about whether this step was part of a deal between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi gang or between government forces and the Houthi militia.
Observers believe that handing over the bodies may be a prelude to Saudi Arabia signing the so-called “UN road map” between the Yemeni government and the Houthi gang.
