The Director General of the Buraiqa District, Dr. Salah Al-Shoubji, received today, Monday, the committee assigned by His Excellency the Minister of State - Governor of the Capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, which began its work to investigate the incident that occurred “Wednesday” the day before last, in the local council building in the district. .

During the reception, Al-Shoubji welcomed the members of the committee, which consisted of: the Director General of the Aden Governor’s Office, Mr. Amjad Al-Husseini, the Director-General of the Mansoura District, Mr. Ahmed Al-Daoudi, the Director-General of the Sheikh Othman District, Dr. Wissam Muawiyah, and the Director-General of the Khor Maksar District. Mr. Awas Al-Zuhri informed them of the details of the incident, stressing his rejection and condemnation of those actions that offended the local authority and all its members in the directorate. It must take its legal course and hold those responsible accountable.

The committee listened to the directors of the public works and legal affairs offices and others, and took statements and reviewed the details and demands of the directors and employees of the local authority who announced a comprehensive strike since Thursday, November 21, 2024 AD.

It was agreed to lift the strike at the directorate’s office, starting today, “Monday,” with the committee continuing its work according to what it was assigned and submitting its report to His Excellency the Minister of State - Governor of the capital, Aden, to take the necessary action.
