The Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center at the General Meteorological Authority warned today, Sunday, from monitoring satellite images and the outputs of global numerical models that the country will be affected by a severe cold wave.

Temperatures are expected to drop to less than 5 degrees Celsius in the deserts and internal plateaus of the governorates of Al-Mahra, Hadramaut and Shabwa, with cold to very cold conditions.

He called on citizens to take the necessary precautions, especially children and the elderly, calling on farmers, beekeepers and livestock breeders to rely on the necessary preventive measures to protect their property.
