Israeli occupation Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said today that the Houthis will pay a "heavy price" as a result of their attacks, which he described as aggressive against Israel.
Netanyahu added, "We attacked Houthi targets on the west coast and deep in Yemen, and we will move with all determination and force against any factor that threatens the State of Israel."
Later, Israeli Army Radio announced that 20 aircraft participated in the aggression against Yemen, dropping 50 bombs and participating in a mid-air refueling operation. These strikes come in the wake of a drone attack launched by the Houthis on Thursday on Israeli territory, an attack that the Israeli army was able to intercept.
With regard to the recent raids, Israel, with the participation of the United States and Britain separately, carried out a series of air attacks that targeted several vital sites in the capital, Sana’a, and the western coast of Yemen. The raids focused on strategic centers in Sana’a, including the Haziz power station, which was subjected to 13 attacks. A raid, which is the third attack on the station.
The official Israeli authority reported that today's attack is the first of its kind that brings together Israel and the international coalition led by America and Britain to strike Houthi targets in Yemen.
The raids included about 30 military and vital targets in Sana'a, such as the Haziz power station, the vicinity of Al-Sabeen Square, the Presidential House, and the Dabwa camp in Sana'a, in addition to the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Issa in western Yemen.
Meanwhile, Axios denied what was circulated that the attacks on Yemen were a joint operation between Israel, America and Britain, explaining that there was tactical coordination between the parties to avoid clashes, as each party targeted different targets.
For its part, the Israeli occupation state said that these attacks came in response to the continuous attacks by the Houthis on “Israel”, as the raids targeted underground sites, such as missile and drone depots, as part of its effort to weaken the Houthis’ military infrastructure. The Israeli Defense Minister also stated that the attack on Yemen carries a clear message to the Houthis that Israel will continue to act forcefully against anyone who poses a threat to its security, stressing that “Israel’s long hand will pursue Houthi leaders anywhere.”
