The European Union launched the “Asbids” operation on February 19, with the aim of securing the movement of maritime navigation and protecting commercial ships from any possible threats in the Red Sea and regional and international waters.
This operation is participating in this process, a European naval force consisting of ships and warfares belonging to 21 European countries, where its tasks focus mainly on protection and defense without engaging in any offensive operations against land targets or sites belonging to the Iranian -backed Houthi militia, which confirms the defensive nature of these Initiative.
