The death of a citizen drowned during an attempt to save his son on Socotra Island

A drowning citizen died during an attempt to save his son from drowning, in one of the coasts of Socotra Island, located on the Indian Ocean off the coast of the Horn of Africa.
A local source said that a citizen named "Mamoun Abdullah Noman Al -Sharia", died of drowning in the Samarn district of the Qalansi district.
The source explained that the citizen was quick to the sea to try to save his son, but the waves took him to the depth, lost control, and died in the sea.
He pointed out that two young men who were present managed to save the son and transfer him to the Qalansi Hospital for treatment.
