An American official reveals the Trump administration plan to strike the Houthis

A US official revealed that the administration of President Donald Trump is seeking to end the "Protector of prosperity", which was launched in December 2023, in response to the attacks by the Houthis against international navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
According to Arab TV, the American administration is looking for radical solutions that go beyond the protection of maritime navigation to address the Houthi threat itself.
The official explained that Washington considers the Houthi classification a “foreign terrorist organization” a basic step aimed at imposing sanctions on individuals and institutions that support the group, which will lead to the tightening of the screws on the Houthis inside and outside Yemen.
He added that the classification will provide a legal framework that allows the United States and its allies to establish a large -scale military alliance, which possesses air and field capabilities that exceed any previous operations, similar to the international coalition against ISIS.
According to the source, the announcement of this military alliance may take place during the next five weeks, coinciding with the start of the implementation of strict US sanctions. Washington also aims to impose a strict siege on Yemen, to prevent any military support from Iran from reaching the Houthis.
This move comes at a time when the region is witnessing a dangerous escalation at the level of military operations and attacks targeting commercial ships in the Red Sea, which increases the complexity of the security and economic scene in Yemen.
