183 registered violations .. Socotra addresses random construction on the coast

The Executive Office in Socotra Governorate approved, during a meeting headed by the governor of the governorate, Eng. Raafat Al -Thaqali, to prevent all violating actions on the coasts and environmental and archaeological sites, with the transfer of violators to the legal authorities.
The decision came within the framework of addressing the violations that affected the coastal areas and natural reserves, where the report of the Committee for the Monitoring of the attacks headed by the governor of the province, Brigadier General Saleh Ali Saad, indicated to recording 183 violations.
Al -Thaqhali Governor stressed the necessity of activating supervision and accountability of the executive offices about their performance in preventing violations, and following up on individuals and non -committed bodies, while warning against complacency in the application of the law.
The meeting was attended by the governor of the governorate, Raed Al -Juraibi and Saleh Ali Saad, where the efforts of the committees were praised in documenting violations and setting mechanisms to protect the environment and heritage in Socotra.
