Partial improvement in the Aden electricity crisis with continued interruption periods

Official sources in the energy sector in the capital, Aden, announced, on Sunday evening, February 9, 2025 Providing three diesel tankers as a "advance batch" from the merchant Rashad Halil, provided that the quantity of the upcoming fuel charge will be paid.
The sources pointed out that the President’s station will remain suspended until the Marib Governorate authorities are committed to increasing the diesel supply from 2000 to 3000 barrels per day, as a minimum to operate it, while the Mansoura station will produce an energy of 60 megawatts, which means that the current is continuing to cut 11 hours at night for the two hours of operation, With a slight improvement during the day thanks to solar energy support.
In a related context, the governorate government revealed an agreement with the merchant bin Dulal to move a tanker loaded with 11 thousand tons of diesel to the port of Aden, which is expected to arrive within 48 hours. She emphasized that the quantity will be distributed with a legal methodology to ensure the continued operation of the stations for as long as possible.
This update comes at 6:30 pm, while Aden residents still suffer from the consequences of the crisis that threatens the health and water sectors and increases their daily suffering.
