Al -Zubaidi stresses the importance of raising the coast guard capabilities and enhancing maritime security

President Aidarous Qassem Al -Zubaidi, Chairman of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Command Council, met today, Monday, Major General Khaled Ali Al -Qamali, head of the Coast Guard Authority.
President Al -Zubaidi, during the meeting from Major General Al -Qamali, reviewed the progress of work in the interest, the level of readiness and preparedness among its employees to carry out the tasks assigned to them in protecting coasts and territorial waters, in addition to the efforts made to enhance operational capabilities in the field of maritime security.
President Al -Zubaidi also listened to a report on the results of the preparatory workshop for the Yemeni Maritime Security Partnership Conference (YMSP), which was recently held in the Jordanian capital Amman, stressing the need to benefit from its outputs to enhance the coast guard capabilities and improve international cooperation mechanisms in the field of maritime security.
President Al -Zubaidi praised the efforts made in developing the mechanisms of maritime security partnership, stressing the importance of raising security readiness, enhancing joint coordination with regional and international bodies to protect regional waters and addressing various maritime threats.
The meeting was attended by Imad Mohamed, Director of the Office of the Vice -President of the Presidential Command Council.
