A human rights organization condemning the Houthi kidnapping campaign that affected citizens in Al -Mahwit

The Raid Organization for Rights and Freedoms condemned, in the strongest terms, the campaign of arbitrary kidnappings carried out by the Houthi terrorist militia in Al -Mahwit Governorate.
The organization stated in a statement that the militias carried out a massive kidnapping campaign against civilians, against the background of a video clip showing the fall of a missile belonging to the millions in the “Ibn Abdullah” area, which the group tried to cover up by claiming that it was caused by American bombing.
Continuous kidnappings have prolonged many citizens, at a time when the group is forced to force the population to participate in political protests under threat, in a flagrant violation of freedom of opinion, expression and freedom of peaceful gathering.
The Raid Organization affirmed that these practices are a serious violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, blaming the Houthi militias fully responsible for the safety of the kidnappers, demanding an immediate release of them without registration or condition.
During the past two weeks, the Houthi militia launched a campaign of extensive raids that included the homes of citizens, stalls and commercial stores in several governorates, and dozens were kidnapped, under labor, espionage and transmission of coordinates.
According to observers, this hysterical campaign reflects the state of panic experienced by the Houthi leadership, where the fragility of its internal structure is exposed, and its inability to contain popular anger
