The Prosecution of Industry and Trade in Taiz Governorate, today, destroyed a large amount of industrial syrup powder with multiple flavors that are not suitable for human consumption, after it was proven that it contains a prohibited carcinogen trading in the markets, within the framework of case No. 61 of 2025 (a non -massive case).

The Undersecretary of the Industry and Trade Prosecution, Judge d. Sami Al -Hajj, that the amounting amount reached 100 cartons of artificial syrup powder packages for children, each weighing less than 100 grams, and from Turkish origin. He added that these products were seized at the Hanger Point - the entrance to the city of Taiz - during its arrival from Aden Governorate, with joint efforts from the Yemeni Authority for Standards, Metrology and Quality Control, in coordination with the military police personnel.

The prosecution affirmed that these measures come as part of its continuous efforts to protect the consumer and prevent the entry of any harmful products in public health to the local markets.
