American fighters launched today, a series of air strikes targeting the island of Kamran, located off the coast of Hodeidah Governorate, west of Yemen.

Local sources said that the aircraft launched several consecutive air strikes on separate locations on the island, without until now accurate information about the size of human or material losses.

Kamran Island is one of the largest islands in the Red Sea, in which Iranian weapons are located and acquires strategic importance due to its proximity to the international marine corridors, which makes its targeting a remarkable development in the context of military escalation in Yemen.

These raids come in light of the continuation of the Iranian -backed Houthi militia in targeting international navigation, amid international and international calls for the necessity of working to preserve the security of the target Red Sea by its wealth by Iran.
