International immigration declares the displacement of more than 4 thousand Yemenis since the beginning of the year

IOM (IOM) has announced that it has monitored the displacement of more than 4 thousand internal people in Yemen since the beginning of this year.
The organization said in the latest report to track displacement, that it recorded 703 families of 4,218 people, at least once, during the period between January 1 and April 19, 2025.
The report added that the cases of displacement registered since the beginning of the year were in five governorates; Marib topped it with 390 families (2,340 people), followed by Taiz with 166 families (996 people), then Hodeidah with 139 families (834 people), in addition to 5 families (30 people) in Al -Dhalea, and 3 families (18 people) in Lahj.
Al -Nahh Foundation (DTM) of the International Organization of Immigration indicated that it recorded last week (13-19 April this week), the displacement of 70 families consisting of 420 people, and a decrease of 13% from the previous week that witnessed the displacement of 80 families (480 people).
The report pointed out that the new displacement cases last week were limited to only three governorates, most of which were; And with 38 families in Taiz, 28 families in Marib, in addition to 4 families in Hodeidah.
He added that 32% of the new displaced families need shelter services, 6% for food, while 60% of them lack financial support, 1% for non -food materials (NFI), and 1% for livelihoods.
International immigration revealed that security concerns and threats were the main reason behind the departure of 64 families of their original areas; With 91% of the total new displacement cases, while the economic conditions associated with the conflict prompted 6 families; By 9%, for displacement.
It was reported that it had identified 32 additional displaced families that were not covered by the week’s report before last, “These numbers were added to the total cumulative displacement registered since the beginning of the year.”
