The Houthis raided 532 homes and kidnapped 212 citizens within 20 days

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms revealed that the Houthi group carried out during the period from 1 to 20 April (April), more than 532 raids that affected homes and commercial stores in the governorates of Saada, Sana'a, Hodeidah, Ibb and Dhamar, and kidnapped 212 citizens.
A report issued by the network explained that the Houthi campaign took place under the allegations of “communication” and “sending coordinates”, and included the confiscation of electronic devices, a prohibition of applications, and the withdrawal of surveillance cameras, in addition to the reuse of old communications devices from Iran, the group obtained from Iran in 2014, for fear of repeating the “Bejjar” incident in Lebanon, where Israel broke the “People” devices with the Lebanese Hezbollah elements, and detonated it at a time Concurrent.
The report stated that the Houthi group intensified the monitoring of communications and spying on tribal and political leaders, including allied to it, for fear of splits or leaking information to the opponents, and imposed strict control over community leaders, and began provoking unwanted tribes, especially in Al -Bayda and the vicinity of Sanaa, with the aim of finding excuses to attack it later.
The network confirmed that the Houthis use the kidnappers as human shields after being transferred to weapons storage sites, in a flagrant violation of humanitarian law, blaming the group fully responsible for these crimes, calling for an international move to protect civilians.
She added, "Crimes of arrest and enforced disappearance and the taking of detainees as human shields were closely related to the practices of the Houthi group, as with the diversity of methods and means of these crimes, civilians remain the direct goal of their grave violations," noting that at a time when the Houthi group is exposed to a series of American air strikes, resorting to compensating its losses in the field through suppression An internal systematic targeting innocent civilians in its areas of control.
