Pentagon: The military decisiveness in Yemen requires a decisive ground operation

A former US Defense Ministry official, the Pentagon, stressed that achieving a comprehensive military resolution against the Houthi group in Yemen requires the necessity of carrying out a large -scale ground military operation by the Yemeni government forces.
In comments made by Adam Clemens, a former Pentagon official, he explained that the American air strikes, despite their importance in weakening the military capabilities of the Houthis, are insufficient to achieve the desired military decisiveness.
He stressed that these strikes should be accompanied by an active movement of the Yemeni government forces on the ground to impose their control and achieve victory.
Clemens pointed out that the geographical complications of Yemen and the complex communication network that the Houthis depend on require the development of a comprehensive plan that takes these workers into consideration.
He stressed the need for the Yemeni government to have an integrated strategic plan that includes military and economic axes that are implemented in parallel and consistent to achieve the ultimate goal of the full elimination of the Houthis' influence.
