The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Disabled Welfare and Rehabilitation Fund, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al -Zaouri, broke out this morning of the progress of work in the two handicrafts and rehabilitation funds of the handicapped and social welfare in the capital, Aden.

During the visit, the minister held a meeting that included the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the Social Welfare Sector, Mr. Saleh Mahmoud, the Executive Director of the Fund, Dr. Najwa Mohamed Fadl, and a number of directors of departments and specialists, where a number of issues related to the work of the fund were discussed

Dr. Al -Zaouri directed the collection department to prepare a comprehensive plan to collect financial resources, and to follow up on the non -committed bodies to pay the fees due to the fund, stressing the need to compel these bodies to pay their legal obligations, with the aim of enhancing the services provided to people with disabilities.

Minister Al -Zaouri praised the efforts of the Fund’s administration to overcome the challenges resulting from the difficult economic conditions that the country is going through, stressing the importance of continuous follow -up and evaluating the activities of the associations and institutions concerned with the care and rehabilitation of people with disabilities, to ensure improvement of the level of services.

For her part, Dr. Najwa Fadl, Executive Director of the Fund, presented a presentation on the performance of the fund and the services provided to people with disabilities, in addition to the support directed to the relevant societies and institutions, reviewing the challenges facing the work of the fund in light of the current economic situation.

Minister Al -Zaouri also reviewed the activities of the departments and departments of the Fund and the daily health services provided to the disabled, stressing the need to redouble efforts and enhance work in the spirit of one team, to serve the segment of people with disabilities, which represents an important part of the society’s fabric.

In another context, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Welfare Fund, Dr. Mohamed Saeed Al -Zaouri, presided over a meeting that included the Fund’s Executive Director, Najla Muhammad Omar Al -Sayyad, and a number of directors of departments, to discuss issues related to social welfare and follow up the implementation of decisions issued by the Fund’s Board of Directors.

Minister Al -Zaouri stressed during the meeting to confirm the decision of the Fund’s Board of Directors to stop renewing the contracts of the investment buildings of the fund, and to take the necessary legal measures to restore those buildings immediately after the end of the current rental contracts.

The meeting was attended by Talib Hamed, Director General of Development of the beneficiaries, and Washjan Shehr, Director of Financial Affairs, and Salem Al -Rabash, Director General of Policy

and Mohamed Salem, Director General of Follow -up and Evaluation and those in charge of the Director General of Human Resources, and Naela Omar, Director General of Planning.
