The commander of the southern resistance in the Front of Thar, the leader Taha Hussein Abu Bakr, stressed that the resistance does not mind opening the route of his wealth - McCiraas, which is a strategic life artery linking the northern provinces to the southern, and serves thousands of people from the governorates of Abyan and Al -Bayda, but the Houthi militias still deliberately close and obstruct any efforts to reopen it.

Abu Bakr said, in a special statement to the Media Center of the Thar Front today, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 Military barracks.

He added: “A delegation from the notables visited us to open the road, and we reaffirmed that we have no objection, but the other party rejects our basic conditions, namely: removing mines, allowing the return of the displaced to their homes, and not creating points of charge that hinders the movement of citizens and exploits their suffering.”

The front of the front emphasized that the decision to open the road not only falls within the powers of the resistance, but also requires a joint decision from the leadership of the province, represented by the governor of Abyan and the director of security and military leaders, whether in legitimacy or the Southern Transitional Council, as is the case in similar files in other governorates, in order to preserve the public interest and national security.

Abu Bakr pointed out that the road that connects Mciras and a loader passes through areas inhabited by one of the tribes of Al -Awalat, which enhances the importance of opening it to facilitate the movement and mitigate the suffering of citizens.

At the end of his statement, Abu Bakr called on all politicians, activists and media people to refer to the official sources, and not to be drawn behind the rumors or misleading information that may cause confusion and serve suspicious agendas, stressing that the front's position is clear and fixed towards opening the road in a way that guarantees the safety of citizens and achieves the interest of everyone.
