The administrative body of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting for the month of September today, Sunday, headed by the Vice President of the Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, and Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Kathiri, President of the National Assembly.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the Vice-President of the National Assembly, Dr. Anis Luqman, Major General Bin Brik stressed the importance of restructuring the institutions and bodies of the Southern Transitional Council, including the National Assembly, which comes in line with the tasks and requirements of the next stage, congratulating Professor Ali Al-Kathiri on his achievement.
While Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri thanked in his speech Major General Ahmed Bin Brik for the efforts he made in establishing and building the National Assembly and its leadership, and laying down the basic principles that will be followed during the coming period, asking God to help him in his new duties.
He reviewed the current developments at the level of the political process sponsored by the United Nations, the visit of the Secretary-General’s envoy, Mr. Hans Grundberg, to the capital, Aden, and the meeting of the American envoy, Mr. Tim Linder King, with the leadership of the Council, as part of their efforts to complete the peace process in our country and the region.

The meeting affirmed the adherence of our people and its political leadership to the right of the people of the South to restore their state and sovereignty, and the rejection of any attempts that detract from the rights and cause of the people of the South, or bypassing them with any agreements related to them in light of their absence from those negotiations, and the importance of forming the joint negotiating delegation and completing the negotiating framework for the issue of the people of the South.
The meeting also addressed the living and service conditions, stressing the importance of the parity government carrying out its tasks in improving conditions, alleviating the suffering of the people of the South, and addressing the problem of African immigrants and the threat they pose to the lives of citizens and social peace, in addition to the problem of the displaced who have caused great pressure on The level of services and their organization in locations outside the cities, reiterating his call for international organizations to play their role in returning them to their countries and providing assistance to local authorities in the southern governorates to address the problems caused by the influx of migrants from the Horn of Africa.
At the conclusion of its meeting, the administrative body praised the role of the southern armed forces for their heroism on the battle fronts with the Houthis, and the sacrifices they made in combating terrorism, calling on the coalition, brothers and friends to support the southern armed forces in their war to combat terrorism, eradicate its roots, and establish the foundations of security and stability in the country.
