Transitional official: The Houthis left behind in every home in the south and Yemen a tragedy and revenge that will not be subject to statute of limitations

Deputy President of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, Anis Al-Sharafi, confirmed on Sunday that the Houthi crimes will not be subject to a statute of limitations.
This came in a post on Facebook, in which he said: “For 9 years, the Houthis carried out war crimes, murder, and mass massacres. Aden was one of the largest fields of killing and destruction by the Houthi militia, and the effects of the massacres of Al-Tawahi, Khor Maksar, and Dar Saad in 2015 are still visible.” During the Houthi invasion of the south, I witnessed their terrorism and will not forget, in addition to the massacre targeting Aden airport on December 30, 2020 AD. All of these are war crimes and genocide that the people of Aden and the south have not and will not forgive or tolerate, and their claims to support Gaza and Palestine will not erase them, while the truth says that they are an arm of Iran. Hatred of everything that has anything to do with Arabism.”
Al-Sharafi added: “The Houthis left behind in every neighborhood, every village, and even every house in the south and Yemen, a tragedy and revenge, which will not be subject to statute of limitations.”
Al-Sharafi stated that the Houthi crimes in Aden varied between killing, wounding, arrest, forced disappearance, torture, targeting residents with mortar shells, Katyusha shells, and mines, poisoning drinking water, and besieging cities that they were unable to enter militarily, as 2,713 martyrs in Aden fell victim to their aggression, including more than 100 children and 190 women, and left 17,864 injured, and the number of facilities damaged reached 17,930, while cases of forced disappearance and arrest reached 17,899 cases.
Al-Sharafi explained that the people of Aden are suffering from the effects of these crimes to this day, as their homes are still destroyed, their compensation is neglected, their salaries are deferred, their authorities are restricted, and their national cause is threatened.
Al-Sharafi concluded his statement by saying: “We will not forget what happened to us, and we will not forgive the Houthis for their crimes, and we will continue the struggle until we obtain our right to freedom and independence.”
