Yesterday, Monday, the port of Socotra witnessed the unloading of the Emirati ship “Takreem” of its cargo of vital and relief supplies intended for the island.
The cargo included a liquefied gas shipment, in addition to two electric generators and cables to support and maintain the operation of the power stations, and necessary food supplies to meet the needs of the residents of the archipelago.
The people of Socotra celebrated the arrival of the ship and its humanitarian cargo, appreciating the keenness of the United Arab Emirates, through its relief arm, the Khalifa Foundation, to promote development and meet the various needs of the island’s residents.
