Five plots of land spark a conflict between leaders in Aden

Two days ago, news was reported of the arrest of the director of the Aden Lands Branch, Amer Othman, after he refused to transfer 5 plots of land on top of land that had been allocated 30 years ago.
In the details of the incident that sparked a conflict between local leaders in Aden and the intervention of the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and President of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Aidours Al-Zubaidi, the Director of the Buraiqa District, Dr. Salah Al-Shoubaji, obtained 5 plots of land with recommendations from the Supervision and Inspection Officer at the General Land Authority in the name of his martyred family. May God have mercy on them.
Ali Hammoud, the supervisory official, insisted on distributing 5 plots of land to the Al-Shoubji family in Bir Fadl, which is known for the complexities of the conflict over it due to its disbursement in 1990 to citizens, followed by some investors buying the site. This site has been the subject of a dispute for years between several parties.
According to sources, the Director of Aden Lands proposed distributing plots of land in other locations that had not been disbursed before, but Al-Shobaji insisted that the plots be disbursed in Fadl Well and complained to Al-Zubaidi, who directed the arrest of Amer Othman, for his refusal to dispose of plots in Fadel Well.< /p>
It is worth noting that Aden is experiencing a critical security situation due to overlapping responsibilities, officials’ ignorance of their tasks, and the entry of some of the country’s princes, on the side of a bitter conflict over the lands of Aden. Despite the governor’s attempt to contain the lands’ problems, their problems still threaten security and societal peace.< /p>
