Local sources said that an accident occurred in Ibb Governorate yesterday morning, Monday, specifically at the ring road at the Habeesh Junction in the Al-Sahol area, involving one of Al-Baraka Company’s buses carrying expatriates returning from the Kingdom.
The sources added that the incident was carried out by motivated people known to be thugs in the area. They asked the bus to stop, and when the driver, Muhammad Murshid, refused to stop, they opened fire on the back of the bus, wounding two passengers on board, one of whom was seriously injured.
Al Baraka International Transport Company said, in a report addressed to the operations of the Land Transport Authority of the Houthi militia, that gunmen in the Al-Sahol area, north of Ibb, opened fire on one of their buses, which was carrying passengers coming from Saudi Arabia, yesterday morning, Monday.
It stated in its report that the accident caused the injury of two passengers and damage to the bottles and engine of the bus.
In its report, the company called on the relevant authorities in the militia authorities to pursue those involved and take legal measures against them.
