Director of Al-Sadaqa Hospital reveals the number of cholera patients in Aden

Professor Dr. Raja Ahmed Ali Massad, Director General of Al-Sadaqa General Teaching Hospital, clarified today, Wednesday, the statistics of those infected with cholera among local residents who arrived at the hospital’s isolation center.
Prof. Dr. Rajaa, Director General of Al-Sadaqa Hospital, explained that the total number of cases from local residents that were received in the isolation center from March 22 to April 3 of this month was 156 cases, of which 113 were hospitalized and undergoing treatment, including children whose ages were younger. 10 years old and 21 children, especially two pregnant women.
As for the cases for which positive tests were conducted for cholera, Prof. Dr. Raja confirmed that the number of positive cases by rapid examination was 85, while the number of positive cases by agricultural examination (culture) was 32 cases.
As for the death statistics, Prof. Dr. Rajaa, General Director of Al-Sadaqa Hospital, reassured that there have been no deaths so far, while medical cases infected with cholera are subject to treatment and under supervision and follow-up by specialist doctors from the hospital.
