The detention of crude oil tankers threatens to shut down the President’s station within hours

The General Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, said that the PetroMasila station is threatened with shutting down in the coming hours due to the detention of crude oil tankers in the security sector in the Ahwar area in Abyan Governorate.
According to Nawar Abkar, the media official for Aden Electricity, the detention of the locomotives came against the backdrop of “the kidnapping, loss, or detention of one of the security crews of one of the combat fronts,” and he said that the locomotives will be released after the crew returns.
Abkar added that negotiations are still ongoing by the security leaders in Abyan Governorate to release Al-Qawatir until this moment.
This is the second detention of crude oil locomotives, as they were detained a few days ago by security and military authorities in the Al-Nashima area in Shabwa Governorate, before Governor Awad Al-Wazir intervened and they were released.
