Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other Arab countries declare Wednesday the first day of Eid al-Fitr

Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the Emirates, Lebanon, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria announced that Tuesday, the ninth of April, is the completion of the month of Ramadan, and that Wednesday, April 10 is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
The Yemeni Ministry of Endowments said, in a statement, that “after continuous communication with the committee in charge of searching for the crescent of the blessed month of Shawwal for this year 1445 AH and their monitoring of the crescent in the areas where it is expected to appear this evening, Monday, the sighting of the crescent has not been confirmed by the committee in charge of the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance.” The month of Shawwal tonight, so that tomorrow, Tuesday, will be the completion of the month of Ramadan.”
The so-called Fatwa House affiliated with the Houthis in Sanaa also announced, “Tomorrow is Tuesday, completing the month of Ramadan for the year 1445 AH, and that Wednesday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.”
The Saudi Royal Court said that the Supreme Court decided that Tuesday is the thirtieth of the month of Ramadan, and that Wednesday is the first day of Eid.
This was also announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Qatar, the Sharia Sighting Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the committee charged with investigating the sighting of the Shawwal crescent in the Emirates.
As the competent committees and authorities in Palestine, Kuwait, Syria and Egypt announced, it was not possible to see the crescent moon, and that Tuesday was the completion of the holy month and Wednesday was the first day of Eid.
The Iraqi Sunni Endowment Office and the Kurdistan Region announced, on Monday, that Wednesday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
The Sunni Endowment said in a statement that “the legitimate sighting of the crescent has not been proven, and therefore Tuesday is the completion of the month of Ramadan, and Wednesday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.”
The Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, issued a statement saying, “We have not confirmed the sighting of the crescent of Shawwal, and therefore, tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9, is the day that completes the thirty days of the blessed month of Ramadan.”
Earlier, the International Astronomy Center suggested that Eid al-Fitr would fall on Wednesday, April 10, in most countries, based on the crescent sighting.
He stated in a statement on the Thirty days, so that Wednesday, April 10, will be Eid al-Fitr.”
The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt announced that Eid al-Fitr will be next Wednesday, explaining that the month of Ramadan this year will last 30 days.
