The Public Prosecution announces the release of 793 convicts in the liberated governorates during the month of Ramadan

The Public Prosecution announced today the release of 793 convicts in the liberated governorates during the holy month of Ramadan, in implementation of the directives of the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali.

793 convicts were released in the liberated governorates during the month of Ramadan this year, including special rights amounting to 367,821,134 Yemeni riyals, 4,000 dollars, and 15,971,073 Saudi riyals provided by the state, governors, and philanthropists
The official spokesman for the Public Prosecution, Judge Anis Jamaan, stated that, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, and in accordance with Circular No. 1 of 2024 issued on 2/5/2024 AD and its memos regarding conditional release, 793 were released in the liberated governorates. During the month of Ramadan this year, they received special rights for 141 parolees, with a total amount of 367,821,134 Yemeni riyals, 4,000 dollars, and 15,971,073 provided by the state, governors, and philanthropists, as the state provided an amount of 5,7,7,000 riyals, and the governors an amount of 80,343,000 Yemeni riyals, and philanthropists. 281,771,134 Yemeni riyals.
The Prisons Division in the Attorney’s Office, represented by its head, Dr. Nasser Al-Subaihi, and the Division’s staff went out and followed up with all the prosecution offices in the liberated governorates and visited the central correctional facilities to determine the implementation of the circular referred to above, and with continuous follow-up by His Excellency the Attorney General and the First Public Advocate, the summary of that effort was crowned with success. In the release of 793 convicts, the release included 84 released after half the term, 94 released after three-quarters of the term, 141 released with special rights, 250 released on bail, 200 released to enforce the court’s ruling, and 24 released without a just decision, according to the statement.
