Armed clashes in central Taiz leave dead and wounded

Violent clashes broke out between armed groups affiliated with the government in the center of the city of Taiz.
Local sources said that armed clashes broke out between gangs belonging to the Sharia brigades, resulting in deaths and injuries.
She added that disputes arose between the “Al-Naqib and Al-Zoqari Private Commercial Electricity” companies, which developed into the owners of the two companies hiring armed military gangs to settle the disputes, as the leader, “Hammam Mar’i,” affiliated with the Islah Party, launched an attack on Al-Naqib’s company, using crews, weapons, and legitimate soldiers.

The sources reported that Al-Naqeeb Company, after being subjected to an armed attack, summoned other armed groups belonging to the same military priority, to wage violent battles in the middle of the residential neighborhoods in Al-Tahrir Al-Safa and the streets leading to Al-Daboua.
According to the sources, the clashes resulted in two deaths and a number of injuries, and caused panic and terror among civilians.
