Repeated power outages in Aden.. Fuel and oil shortages threaten total darkness

The city of Aden is suffering from noticeably increased hours of power outages, causing great suffering to citizens in light of the high temperatures, with the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
According to local sources, the reason for the power outage is the lack of diesel fuel needed to operate the Al-Haswah station, which is the only station currently operating in Aden.
Al-Rais station was also out of service due to the unavailability of crude oil to operate it, while the solar energy station funded by the United Arab Emirates has not yet entered service.
The Al-Haswah station currently produces only 90 megawatts, while Aden’s electrical energy needs reach 150 megawatts.
This shortage heralds the collapse of the Al-Haswah station from service, which will plunge Aden into complete darkness.
As a result of this crisis, citizens appealed to the concerned authorities to expedite the provision of fuel to the Al-Haswa station and oil to the Al-Rais station, and they also appealed to those in charge of the solar energy station to expedite its introduction into service.
