A large deficit in the generating capacity of Aden's electricity

The city of Aden is suffering from a stifling electricity crisis, with outages reaching 18 hours a day, compared to only 6 hours of operation.
Labour sources said that the cause of the crisis is due to several factors, including a large deficit in generating capacity, as electricity loads in Aden today reach 550 megawatts, while the generating capacity of power stations does not exceed 200 megawatts only.
Also, loads rise due to heat waves, as Aden is currently facing a severe heat wave, which has led to loads rising significantly.
This comes in light of the scarcity and depletion of diesel and diesel fuel, as power plants in Aden suffer from a scarcity and depletion of diesel and diesel fuel, which greatly hinders their work.
One of the factors is the running out of light crude oil at the Masila Petro Station in Al-Haswah, as the Masila Petro Station, the largest power generation station in Aden, suffers from running out of light crude oil, which led to it being out of service.
This deficit resulted in frequent power outages of up to 18 hours a day, some neighborhoods being completely out of service, and electrical appliances being damaged.
It is worth noting that the solar energy station has not yet entered service due to the delay in laying the energy transmission cables.
