Meteorological forecast of the weather condition as the depression approaches

The Yemeni Meteorological Center expects thunderstorms of varying intensity, reaching heavy levels, during the next 24 hours on the coasts and deserts of the governorates (Shabwa, Hadhramaut, and Al-Mahra), amid intense movements by local authorities in preparation for the depression.
The Prime Minister of Yemen, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, stressed in communications with the Governor of Al-Mahra and the Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Valley and Desert Affairs, the importance of intensifying efforts to overcome the repercussions of the air depression expected to reach Al-Mahra and Hadhramaut in the coming days.
According to the official news agency “Saba”, Bin Mubarak stressed the focus primarily on protecting citizens, warning them to stay away from valleys and flood streams, and to take the utmost caution.
In addition, the Meteorological Center expected that the mountain highlands would witness partly cloudy to cloudy weather with thunderstorms of varying intensity in the governorates of (Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Dhale’, Lahj Heights, Abyan, Al-Bayda, and Marib) and parts of the governorates of (Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Imran and Sanaa).
The Meteorological Center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to be cautious of thunderstorms, strong blowing winds, and falling hailstones, and to be in the depths of valleys and flood streams during and after the rain.
He called on the relevant authorities, each according to their position and competence, to take the necessary measures to protect lives and property.
