The Yemeni Airlines unions presented an initiative to end the crisis of the cessation of airline activity from Sanaa to Jordan.
The initiative is summarized in two main points: opening flights from Sanaa International Airport, and forming an urgent committee in Sanaa and Aden by involving unions to meet in Amman and reach an agreement.
A statement issued by the Yemeni Airlines unions said that this comes “in accordance with the protocol signed between the Republic of Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Law No. (21) of 1977.”
The statement added that the initiative comes: based on our principle of preserving our company and its national role and in our effort to prevent the worsening of the crisis and stop the escalation by political parties that does not serve the company and affects the practice of its activities and the provision of its humanitarian services.
The initiative aims to normalize the company's activity and address all problems.
The statement indicates that the problems hindered the implementation of the national carrier’s desired plans to develop its fleet and equipment.
