The director of the Central Prison Correctional Facility in Lahj explains what happened during the trial of Al-Rashidi’s killers

Abdul Salam Al-Junaidi, Director of the Sabr Central Prison Correctional Facility in Lahj Governorate, explained that the news published by some fellow reporters regarding what happened during the trial inside the correctional facility in the Al-Rashidi murder case, unfortunately, most of it is false and exaggerated news and did not adhere to the profession’s professionalism and honesty of the word, and it is not known. Reasons?!.
The director of the correctional facility explained through a report submitted to the Director General of Lahj Police the truth about what happened during the trial session by the guardians of blood and with other people who may not have any connection, neither closely nor remotely, with the guardians of blood. Rather, the guardians of blood brought them from the capital, Aden, from the areas of Dar Saad and Al-Basateen. .
Al-Junaidi revealed that the detention of some people was not by his order, but by an order from the session judge and also from the presiding judge when he came to the correctional facility due to their committing legal violations during the court session and inside the correctional facility building that are punishable by law.
Al-Junaidi added, in the first session we spoke with the guardians of blood that it is not permissible to bring all these gatherings before the correctional facility in order to avoid any conflict. The response from them was that with these gatherings they are putting pressure on the judiciary to decide the case quickly.
And he added, unfortunately, in the second session on this day, the same thing that happened in the first session was repeated, with a large crowd of people in front of the correctional facility, leading to what some of them committed towards the court judge and the correctional soldiers, in terms of illegal actions to the point that they crossed the red line by attacking the prisoners inside the dock in the courtroom. This act in itself is a crime whose perpetrator is punishable by law.
Al-Junaidi appealed to the Attorney General, the Presidency of the Prison Service, the leadership of the Transitional Council, the leadership of Lahj Governorate, the Chief Prosecutor of Lahj Appeals, the President of the Lahj Court of Appeals, and the Director General of the Governorate Police, to form a joint committee and go to the reformatory and open an investigation into what happened and submit a report to reveal the complete truth. For public opinion and arrest those who spread this false news.
Al-Junaidi called on the blood relatives to exercise self-control and pursue their case in a legal and fair manner, and also to grant the judiciary the right to decide the case by force of law, since justice is the basis of governance. He also noted the need for the media to convey the truth honestly and professionally, and not to deviate from the path of the media’s message, as it is sublime.< /p>
