Zanzibar Public Works seizes rotten fruits in one of the city’s bars

Commissioned by the Director General of the Zanzibar Directorate, Eng. Mukhtar Al-Shaddadi, and the Director-General of the Public Works Office in the governorate, Eng. Khaled Al-Humayqani, the Public Works Office in Zanzibar seized this Thursday morning, during the field trip, some rotten natural fruits resulting from unpleasant odors such as the smell of grapes and mangoes, unfit for human consumption. In the process of preparing the juices as fresh natural juices, in addition to an expired container of tahini due to it being stored incorrectly, which led to its spoilage in one of the bars located next to the central khat market in Zanzibar.
The Director of the Works Office in Zanzibar, Mr. Nabil Al-Bahazi, and the health inspection team in the office have seized these materials and taken legal measures by writing an arrest report with the owner of the bar and warning him not to repeat this violation, otherwise he will be subjected to legal accountability and referred to the Public Prosecution if such violations are repeated and not Adheres to health requirements.
For his part, Al-Bahzi explained that these violations, which are caught daily in the city’s market, including consumer and non-consumer, all endanger the life of the citizen and infect him with many types of diseases, especially watery diarrhea diseases (cholera) that are widespread these days, or other diseases
Calling on everyone to be responsible, honest, and adhere to the health requirements that we always emphasize over and over again in every violation caught in order to preserve the health and safety of the citizen and society in general.
