American forces destroy a drone in Houthi-controlled areas

US forces confirmed that they destroyed a drone in one of the areas under the control of the Houthi group in northern Yemen.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a press statement, at dawn on Wednesday: “During the past 24 hours, our forces succeeded in destroying a drone belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthis, in an area controlled by the group in Yemen.”
The statement added that the drone represented an imminent threat to the United States, coalition forces, and commercial ships in the region, and “this action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure.”
Since the beginning of this July, American forces have been able to destroy 4 radar sites in Houthi-controlled areas, 4 drone boats, and three drones, while partner forces (European Aspids Operation) destroyed two other aircraft.
