The Houthi militia confirmed its support for the call of Sheikh Ali Al-Qafish, the sheikh of the sheikhs of Abyan Governorate, to hold a million people’s rally to demand the detection of Ashal in Aden. 

The Houthi leader impersonating the governor of Aden, Tariq Salam, said in a statement to the Houthi agency in Sanaa, “We support all the steps announced by the Abyan tribes and the free southern tribes in pressing for the release of Lieutenant Colonel Ashal, and all the kidnapped people in the prisons.” 

He added: We stress the need for the angry million-man march announced to be held in Aden to meet the aspirations and hopes of the people of the governorates.

He concluded his statement: We call for mobilization and participation in the million-man march, and we praise the high level of awareness of the people of Aden.

The calls of the Houthis and the Brotherhood in Yemen to escalate and incite the people of Abyan and those loyal to them in the south reveal the parties behind the chaos and destabilization of security and stability in Aden. This is the first time that the Houthi militia recognizes and announces its support for the Ashal’s millionaires in Aden.
