Members of the National Committee to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations met today, Monday, in the capital, Aden, with representatives of the Swedish International Development Agency, to discuss various challenges related to the process of monitoring and accessing victims, and the priorities of the committee’s work in the coming period.
In the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Committee, Judge Hussein Al-Mashdali, expressed his appreciation for the recent trust placed in the National Committee by the international community through the Human Rights Council, and their appreciation for the work of the Committee in investigating all violations in Yemen.
Judge Al-Mashdali confirmed that the committee will continue its investigation work and reach out to victims throughout the governorates of Yemen, to ensure justice for the victims and reparation for their harm.
For their part, representatives of the Swedish Agency explained their keenness to follow the developments of the National Commission of Investigation and support it through the High Commissioner for Human Rights to help it carry out its tasks, in a way that ensures continued success in the investigation work conducted by the Commission.
