Counselor Khaled Al-Hosni said that the current situation in Yemen is a gradual product that has continued over fifty years, stressing that the decision is no longer in the hands of the Yemenis or the Arabs.
In his post, Al-Hosni pointed out that the country suffers from fragmentation and great weakness, with a failed and deep-rooted leadership elite, which hinders any progress or change.
Al-Hosni explained that although change is possible, this requires focusing on science and knowledge, and strengthening education and training. He added that organized collective action based on the values of common sense, human rights and equal citizenship is the only way to build.
He stressed that so far no collective conviction or unified public opinion has been formed that believes in these basic principles, which means that Yemen will continue to suffer from pain and loss.
He expected the tiring and painful conflict to continue for many years, stressing that enthusiastic slogans do not translate into tangible reality, and cannot secure the basic needs of citizens, such as food or treatment.
Al-Hosni called for the need to rethink current strategies and focus on building a solid base that can face challenges, warning that the continuation of the situation as it is may lead to further extinction and weakness.
