The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, directed work to improve the conditions of the judiciary, including disbursing the annual bonus to all its members starting next year in accordance with the law, and similar to the rest of the state institutions.
This came during a meeting held today, Thursday, by Prime Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Mohsen Abu Bakr, in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, Ahmed Al-Maqbi, and the Ministers of Finance, Salem Bin Brik, and Justice, Judge Badr Al-Arda.
The meeting was devoted to discussing the role of the judiciary in enhancing the prestige of the state, enforcing the rule of law, and the support required for justice personnel in order to fulfill their great services in redressing the oppressed and protecting public funds.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council presented the meeting with the political, economic, and field developments, and the Council’s strategy for the next stage, in which the judiciary represents a major axis for bringing about the desired change on various tracks.
He stressed the principle of collective responsibility, and the participatory relationship between all state authorities and institutions in implementing the tasks and competencies assigned to them in accordance with the Constitution, the law, and the terms of reference for the transitional phase agreed upon nationally, regionally, and internationally.
The President of the Presidential Council noted the role of the judiciary, the achievements it has achieved during the past period, and its next plan to develop the performance of its various institutions as the most important bastions of the legitimate state in protecting national gains, social peace, and deterring Houthi destructive practices of the national economy and opportunities for a decent living.< /p>
The meeting heard briefings from the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, and the Ministers of Finance and Justice on the economic and financial conditions, the performance of the judiciary, and the support available to strengthen its role and independence, as they are the most important components of comprehensive reforms.
